  1. There are two tailors in this parish one in Lorrha village named Mr. Martin Coughlan, and another in Grange, called Mr Seán Grogan. The latter is a native of Cloughan, Offaly, and all the members of his family carry on the tailoring business.
    These men work in their own homes, they do not travel from house to house, except on very rare occasions.
    These tailors stock cloth, mostly Irish tweeds, or they can obtain it for their customers, as they usually keep a stock of patterns.
    They generally deal with the Athlone Woollen Mills, or with Joseph Largey, The Quays, Dublin.
    Cloth is not spun now or woven locally, as people around the district do not wear home-spuns. The nearest place where spinning takes place is in a small factory in Portumna Co. Galway, just across the
