Danish wars. It is said that every night (that) the fairies dance and sing around the caves. If any one ever took sticks out of the fort the man in whose land the fort was would suffer for some of his cattle would die. It is said the woman who owned the fort saw the faries milking her cows. After that her cow had not much milk. One night she was passing the fort and heard them churning her own cream. A good religious woman told her to shake the Holy water on her cows. She did so and they were never milked again.
