  1. Once upon a time there was a little girl who did not believe in fairies. This little girl lived outside Limerick. One fine day in summer, they both went out for a walk, and one of the sisters said, "I do not believe in fairies, because they are not to be seen nowadays".
    Unfortunately, when she made that remark, she was standing in the middle of a crowd of fairies, and one of them said to her. "You're talking out of the back of your neck". The little girl was quite excited to hear that it was a fairy. The fairy caught her by the hand and brought her away through the fields. When they arrived at the fort, they saw four little men with big heads. "You do look funny", she said. "You look like a lot of eggs with arms, legs and bodies". "Well for what you are after saying", screamed the big headed boy with the biggest head, "We shall carry you away". Before she could say anything, she was seized by several big headed boys.
    The kind fairy hurried away quickly to an old witch who lived near by, and told her what was happening. The old witch immediately rose up and ran to the place where the girl was. "Now then you big headed stiffs", cried the witch, "Release the little girl at once". After that the little girl was nicely treated. The fairy brought the little girl back to the
