    The thistle is very harmful because it makes the ground very poor. It is said that the soil is good and fertile where buttercups grow.
    The weed called Yarra is good for stomach ache.
    Groundsel is given to cage birds. Boiled nettles are given to young ducks.
    Ivy leaves are good for corns.
