  1. There is an iron spring well in Ballintubber.
    It is about half a mile distance up the hill in the lands of miss Ellie Meade.
    It is situated in the brow of a glen. Some few strangers now and then can be seen visiting it during the Summer.
    An odd one of the local people can be seen also going to it. It is thought to be a great strengthener and purifier of the blood.
