The Parish Priest in Ardagh asked him for this book, Patrick gave it to him. As time passed on the Parish priest was not returning the book and Patrick asked him for it. The priest refused and rode off. He was gone but five yards when priest and horse were dashed on the ground. The priest handed back the book to the owner. As soon as the owner touched the book the priest was able to get up and ride away.
