  1. There is a passage called the Dead Passage leading from Hartnett's fort in Ballyea to OGrady's rock and back to Bourke's and O'Connors fort in Duxtown. Long ago people who were long dead were seen walking along this passage during the night. This passage is going through OConnor's land in Ballyea, and is one of the ditches where it is going through, no tree ever grew.
