  1. On the 6th of November 1932 was very foggy. A man named John Crimmin who had a habit of coming to our house to pass the night, went astray in the fog. He then decided to stay in the field for a while when suddenly he saw a large ball of fire. It seemed to have risen from Kilmeedy hill, and came along in his direction till at last it stopped over a grove of trees. When it returned to the hill again he followed it till he reached our house. That field is ever since called Crimminses meadow, and the light was often seen after. It is said that the fire used to be in a marshy
