  1. There are four tailors. They work in their homes now. The present tailor Roche's father used travell around. He used go to the houses where he was wanted.
    One of them Denny Cornell stock cloth. Cloth is not spun or woven now here.
    He uses a sewing machine, a scissors, a thumble, a needle, chalk, thread, cloth, iron, buttons, pattern; stiffening, tapes; ruler, jotter;
    Shirt's are made in every house. Flannellette.
    Socks and stockings are knitted locally The thread is not spun in the homes.
    There is one spinning wheel in Abbeyfeale Hill. Mrs Collins owns it.
    Black clothes are worn when a relative dies. White clothes and white veils are worn when receiving first and Confirmation (girls)
    The boys wear a white ribbon on their sleeves when receiving first Communion.
    White or blue is the predominant colour of clothes of bride when She is getting married.
    Green ribbon, green coat and green cap the girls wear on St Patrick's Day.
