On Easter Sunday about fifty years ago there was a football match in Knockaderry between Feenagh and Kilmeedy. At the last half hour as the match was very exciting and as the Kilmeedy team were on the points of winning the match, a young man from the Feenagh team picked up the ball and ran with it. He ran across the fields and it is said that he kept on running, kicking the ball before him till he arrived at Feenagh at half past five. After that he was counted a great runner.- Collector
