    1 They say if there is a ring (halo) around the moon or if the sky was dark or cloudy we are in for a great fall of rain
    2 If you ever see flying ants on a sunny day we are sure to have a lot of rain
    3 When seagulls fly inland it is a sign of bad and stormy weather.
    4 When a cement floor gets damp it is a sign of wet weather.
    5 When soot begins to fall from the chimney it is a sign of wet weather
    6 When meat begins to weep it is a sign of wet weather.
    7 When the smoke ascends straight into the air it is a sign of good weather.
    8 If a cat is seen with his back to the fire it is a sign of rain
