  1. He who marries on Monday will never have a day's luck.
    He who is married on Friday will have no family.
    It is unlucky to move from one house to another on a Monday or Saturday.
    It is unlucky to go on a long journey on Monday.
    It is unlucky to redden a grave on Monday. If a person is to be buried on Monday the first sod is turned on Sunday. Otherwise other members of the dead person's family will die shortly.
    If you spend money on Monday you will continue spending for the week.
    People are loth to begin any work such as ploughing, house-building, etc, on a Saturday. A person starting such work will never live to see it ended.
    The first fifteen days of April are called "old March" or the "Days of the Old Cow". When the crops are cut in harvest time and geese are allowed on the stubble to pick up the loose grain, we have the "Goose's Summer" or "Harvest of the Geese".
