    I
    It was in November, I well remember,
    Three noble heroes to Manchester went.
    It was their intentions the truth I'll mention,
    To free old Ireland from her tyrant's chain.

    The police they viewed them, as if they knew them,
    And to pursue them, they did not fail.
    They did surround them with handcuffs bound them,
    And marched those heroes to gaol.
    3.
    And like wise brothers they held a meeting and at this meeting they did agree.
    Saying "Let every man go up to the van and burst it open and set them free".
    4.
    When young Allen heard of those men been taken.
    To O'Brien and Larkins he quickly flew,
    Saying, "For Kelly and Daisy my heart is breaking [those]
    is breaking.
    Those noble heroes what will they do.
    5.
    At eight o'clock when the friends departed,
    And the wicked craftsman he did appear.
