    and if they marry that they will meet with some great cross or trouble during their married life.
    On Holy Thursday it was the customs also that the old people would eat nothing but potatoes and salt. On Good Friday it was the custom that no work should be done but to spent the day in prayer. The old people did the Stations of the Cross in their own homes.
    Easter Sunday it is the custom to eat many eggs. Some people who don't like eggs eat Easter eggs instead to honour the festival. They used arrange the eggs in this way, that one egg was sufficient for a gentleman, two eggs for a farmer, three for an old Bachelor and four for an old maid but all the same some of the young people eat six or seven. On that morning people get up early to see the sun dancing at o'clock in the morning.
