  1. (continued from previous page)
Tellin' the old sweet tale o'love.
    In the summer evenin's gloamin'.
    But what need anyone care.
    Because my heart is pinin'.
    For but twilight rovin' there.
When the evenin' star is shinin'.

I know a dear old gate.
    in vower of woodbine swingin'.
Where once a happy boy would wait.
    To hear a colleen singin'.
    Where early roses blew.
Sweet in the night dews weepin'.
Marone for the early years that flew.
An' the after years go creeping.
    But what need anyone care.
    Because my heart is pinin'.
For one sweet hour to linger there.
When the yellow moon is shinin'.
