  1. Ghosts.

    Around my place ghosts are only very seldom seen. But there was one seen in Sande's glen, about forty years ago, at the castle where the old Danes lived, and which was in ruins. People thought that there was gold hidden there, and so some few men went one night to search for the gold. They saw a ghost and he told them to go away, which they at once did.
    Fear has ever since kept any of the people of the locality form looking for the hidden treasure.
