  1. St. Brigid's Day, is the first day of Spring.
    On St. Patrick's Day, everyone wears Shamrock on their coats.
    Shrove. It was the custom long ago, that anyone who wanted to get married should do so only during Shrove, and not at any other time of the year.
    On Shrove Tuesday everyone eats a good many pancakes.
    On Ash Wednesday people put ashes on their forehead.
    On Good Friday, everyone eats very little, as it is the last day of Lent, and is also the Day on which Jesus was Crucified. People eat hot cross buns on Good Friday.
    On Easter Sunday Morning people eat a good many eggs for their breakfast.
    May Day. Every town chooses a May Queen, and then they go into the woods, and dance around the
