    There is a fort over on a corner of Dan Higgins' field, Shanahee.

    was a tenant's house between the two forts and it was the passage the fairies used to use from one fort to the other. The house was very unlucky and there was a person died out of every family that lived there. One night there were two women talking in that house by the fire. They heard the tramping of horses and the lashing of whips. They looked out of the window and saw lights which showed them little swords and spears. It is believed that they were going fighting with the other fairies. There is a small bit of the wall of the house to be seen there yet and it is used for a ditch now. My Grandmother and Mrs Healy were the women
