    Barretts castle was attached by Cromwells soldiers and knocked off the side of it with a shell the same day they attacked Blarney Castle. Barrett's castle had no dungeon. People were often put to death in it.
    One night a man slept in the castle. At midnight he woke up and saw a woman dressed in white. He heard chains rattling. She sat into the cart and led the poney away with she came to a cross and there she disappeared.
    There is a ruined church in Grenagh Grave yard. Mass
