  1. Signs of Fine Weather.
    1) If the wind is coming from the north or north west in the evening it is a sure sign that the following day will be fine.
    2) If bright rays are coming from the sun in the evening it is a sign of warm weather.
    3) When the smoke goes up straight after leaving the chimney it is said that we will have hard dry weather.
    4) When the swallows fly high they fortell that fine weather is near.
    5) The birds fortell fine weather by building their nests far out from the ditches.
    6) If the swallows are seen travelling towards the north in the evening the following day is sure to be fine.
    7) If the wind is coming from the direction in which the sun is, it is a sure sign of good weather.
    8) If a fog is seen rising from the marshes or bogs in the morning it is a sign of a good day.
    9) When a silver glitter is seen on the sea it is a sign of good weather
    10) If a rainbow is seen in the evening it is a sign of fine weather.
