    Bhí barraic i Newgrove fadó. Am amháin bhí priosúnach ann darbh' ainm an T-áthair Ó Caoclaidhe. D'iarr sé solus uatha chun a easbairtí a leigheamh ach níor tugadh dóibh é. Ansan d'árduigh sé a láimh dheas agus d'fhoillsigh cúig soillse ar ceann gach meire. Ansan do fosluíodh na doirse go léir agus d'imthigh an sagart agus a comráidhte amach. Cuireadh £5 ar cheann an t-sagairt. Fé dheire tháinic fealltóir agus sgéith air. Nuair do bhithear ag cur an róipín ar a mhuineál do ghuid sé saoghal fadó ar a bhfear a bhí 'a crochadh.
