  1. This man was going down the old road from Ballygriffin to Killavullen one night. It was a grand moonlight night in winter and it was about seven o'clock.
    He had not gone far when he saw a priest reading a prayer book. This priest was dead and the man knew him quite well. When he saw the priest he got such a fright that the hair stood on his head and his cap fell off. When he recovered the priest had vanished and he continued his journey.
    But after a few days the hair began to fall off
