    Thatching is a very old craft and in olden times when nearly all the country houses were thatched the thatchers were very plentiful
    In our district Denis Dunne was a very good thatcher. He would put up four or five streaks in the day. Thatching is done with reed.
    Reed is the stalk of wheat. The wheat seed is beaten off againts a large stone and
