    In my district of Paal, Kanturk, Co. Cork there is no landlord at present. About sixty years ago there was a landlord in the townland of Ardrahan, Kanturk, Co. Cork. of the name of Mr. Smith. Once upon a time a poor widow had no money to pay the landlord, and he evicted her, and she put a curse on the Smiths, that their seed and breed might never remain in the country, and her words are coming true. The evicted people went into the poor-house. The
