    persons washed their feet before going to bed the water should be thrown out, becuase if the good people were around they would not like to see dirty water in the house.
    At present there are three shoemakers in the district. About thirty years ago the head of the family always repaired the boots for the children. Long ago every old person wore clogs especially in cold weather. In the Summer time people used to make shoes out of skins for the warm weather.
