  1. A couple of hundred years ago there was a light seen in a certain house every night. It is said that this light was seen all over the district and that no person put the light there.
This house was situated on the northern end of Boreen Glas which branches off to the Dawston Road. This boreen is roughly 4 miles from Blarney. On the sothern end of this boreen starts near Garrycloyne Grave-Yard. It is about one and a half [miles?] in length. In the olden days there was not much traffic and grass grew on it and it is so called Boreen Glas.
