I heard two women caoining about fifty years ago.

I heard two women caoining about fifty years ago. They hadn't much talk, just a few Irish phrases, but they had the olagóning and hand clapping. It was in Behagh, Dunmanway. A young man of the Regans died, and his mother and a neighbour caoine-ed him. The custom was about dead then.
