May-day was a great day for piseogs.

May-day was a great day for piseogs. Charms used to be set that day. There was some piseog and to set it, the old "wise woman" had to get a live coal from the house of the person she wanted to injure. There were people and they would never put down a fire on May day until late in the day.
Another great day for piseogs was St John's Day. On that day they would take fire from the house into all the tilled fields
