  1. Years and years ago a man by the name of Robert Swanton lived in Dereenmalomane in a thatched house. One day he said to his wife that he would build a new new house. Next morning he got up very early, and he did his usual morning's work. After eating his breakfast he tackled his horse and went towards an old chapel in Letter. He drew stones from it and began building a house for himself. When the house was half built he fell sick and he was getting worse every day and his wife was afraid that he would die and she sent for the doctor. When he came he could not find out what was the matter
