- (continued from previous page)He went to the house by bicycle and as he was travelling along he was surprised to hear a beautiful song Cailín deas cruidie na mbó being sung on the side of the road he came off of his bicycle to find out who was singing and was surprised to find a hound on the side of the road. He went on his bicycle again and when he reached the house the person had died. The priset said afterwards that it was the good people who delayed him on the road so that the person would be dead before he would reach home.
- On the town land of Rossard there was a castle long ago and the remains of it are to be seen there still. They say that there is gold buried in it and that there is a dead man minding it. Who ever goes digging for this gold is sure to lose his life. His brother was living in Kilcoe Castle. They are buried, They buried it in a straight line between the two castles.
