  1. Long ago the people wore no shoes or stockings. Neither the old or the young or the rich or the poor wore shoes or stockings because it was the custom. Later on the people used to wear shoes with timber soles called clogs. Some of the people wear clogs now also but they are not so plenty in this district. The old people would not throw out the feet water after dark because they used to say that you would have no luck if you did. The people used to tan the leather and make shoes.
