  1. There was an old tailor living about three miles form Caheragh chapel. He had a lot of children to support. He lived in a small house at the side of the road. He used to go around from house to house selling and making clothes. He had a kind of a car for carrying the cloth. He used to sew with his hand. When he would start out every Monday morning he used to lodge in the house he would be working at. He would not come home until the end of the week. His name was Sean Mac Carthy The most of the women in this parish make shirts. The most of the shirts are made of flannel. The women make men's and children's shirts. My Mother that makes all the shirts of the house. All the women are able to knet stockings around this parish. There were not so much tailors around this place That tailor was there about thirty years ago. He is dead long ago He used to sell cloth
