  1. There was a nailmaker living in Skibbereen about forty years ago. His name was Mick Goggin. He lived in Upper Bridge Street. His work during the later years of his life was making copper nails which were used for boat making. He used have a bar of copper and he used cut off as much as he used want for a nail and then he used hammer it on an anvil until he used have it in the right shape.
