    Cockles
    when boiled are a cure for measles.
    Ivy
    when boiled is used for removing stains from clothes.
    Saffron
    was used as a dye and produced a saffron or yellow colour.
    Meachan Dúbh
    or wild comfrey was a cure for sprains. The root should at first be peeled and then the inner substance was applied to the sprain.
    Camomile
    is a good cure for nervousness. The leaves were cut up finely and saved. They were then placed in a pot and allowed to draw as tea.
