    Another story is told, that when the soldiers met the Holy Family they asked The Blessed Virgin what had she under her cloak and on her reply - "a lamb" - a lamb fell from her cloak on the ground. The soldiers believing went on their way.

    It is said that when Our Lord was dying on the Cross the male blackbird pitched on it and tried to pull the nails. Some of Our Lord's blook went on his yellow bill and dyed it red and that is why the male blackbird has a red-bill and he is known as the "Red-Bill"
