“Once upon a time a giant lived in a big castle near the sea coast.”
Once upon a time a giant lived in a big castle near the sea coast. He was of huge size more than double the height of the tallest man. All the people were afraid of him. He killed their horses cattle sheep and lambs and any man woman or chield whom he caught.
Near the foot of the hill where the giant's castle stood there was a little farmhouse where a brave little boy lived with his uncle and aunt. One morning he set out to climb the rock where the giant's castle stood. He took a spade from a stable and went up to the giant's castle and gave a loud knock at the gate he ran back again and dug a deep hole then he cut some branches from the trees and spred them on the hole he had made to make the place look sound.
The boy went up to the castle again and gave a loud knock then he ran away and hid behind a bush. On hearing the noise the giant rushed to the door to see who had knocked so loud. He ran out and soon stepped on the leaves that hid the(continues on next page)- Informant
