There is another class whom we call the beggar class. These evoke much more pity than the former class. They travel individually, and poor unfortunates as they are, they may have been forced to do so through dire distress. Many of them travel within a ten miles radius of their former home. They are regarded as the deserving poor and demand only a charity in God's name. We delight in listening to their recitation of the grand old Irish prayers, said both for ourselves and for our dear departed ones. (R.I.P). People do not hesitate in giving a poor person of this type lodging for the night.- Collector
