  2. All the people both young and old go to the bonfire and when they are leaving they always bring home a coal and put it in their own field especially in the potatoes.
    It is said that if a person goes home without bringing a coal has no luck until the next bonfire night and that he will not be at the next bonfire but no one ever goes home without a coal.
