  1. There is a hill in Fairymount beside the school which is the highest hill in Roscommon. On this hill there is a big stone which people say was thrown from the hill of Keash by a giant at another one on Fairymount hill. You can still see the track of his five fingers when he had it in his hand.
    We do not know which giant won but our one must have lost as there is also a grave beside the stone. Beside the grave there is a bed which he must have slept in before he died for for you can still see the track of his body and his head and legs. If you sleep in this bed for a certain length of time it is said you will never waken.
