    were for sale. He had never seen a load of turnips before so he walked bravely up to the man and asked him what they were. The man told him that they were horses eggs so he bought one for six pence.
    On his way home he had to cross a river and he had to jump it so he threw the turnip across and it fell near a hares nest. Up jumps the hare and the boy shouted stop the foal he said he never that that the egg was hatched.
    I got this story from an old man who is now 89 years of age his name is Pat Garvey, Kilgarriff.
