  1. 'All fool's day" falls on the 1st of April, and on that day people have a custom which is –
    Everyone one tries to make
a fool of another person, by saying that something terrible has happened or other things of the kind. If the one they say it to believes them, they call him "April Fool"

  2. There is an old custom regarding Easter Sunday.
The people + children eat as many eggs as they are able. If any of the young children go into a house the woman gives him an egg + when ["they" struck out and within parentheses; "he" written above] goes home ["they" struck out and within parentheses; "he" written above] eats it.
This old custom is surely practised by everybody round here.
