  1. As I lie on my right hand side,
I pray to God to be my guide.
If any evil comes to happen me,
The Blessed Virgin Mary keep it away
    from me.
There are four corners on my bed,
    There are four angels overhead.
    Matthew, Mark, Luke and John,
God bless the bed that I lie on.
And if I die before I wake
I pray to God my soul to take
And if I die in mortal sin,
    I'm lost forever more Amen.
