- Out parish contains one holy well. It is situated in Old Leighlin Bagenalstown Carlow.
People still visit the well on the eighteenth of April.
Rounds are performed there and the Rosary is recited.
There is a story told about the well. Adjoining this well is an old Abbey now used as a place of Protestant Worship. Saint Malasges. Being at this time Superior of the Abbey was sought for by Cromwell's soldiers.
The Abbey was surrounded and the Saint made his escape by a window in the west end of the abbey. He ran out along a path still to be seen because a blade of grass never grew on it since.
The path leads to the where the well is situated and this spot is where the Saint was overtaken and was overtaken slain by Cromwell's soldiers.
Saint Moloshes is connected with the well.
