  1. Ditch
    a bushy fence - earthen bank topped with bushes whether high or low, thick or thin growth
    Bun-Ditch - an earthen bank without any bushes
    Dyke - a deep trench usually water filled

    Hedge
    generally around garden near dwelling house or the entrance to house. The hedge is trimmed regularly and kept at a certain definite height. It may be whitethorn , privet, snowberry or blackthorn.

    Clash - a pool of water such as forms at roadside

    Craft
    perhaps a form of "croft" - a small field or plot about an acre or so in size. The two acre field at Teacher's (?) Residence is always called a "Craft".

    Scrub
    the thicket growth of hazel, furze, blackthorn and whitethorn found on top end shoulder of hill or in waste corners

    Currack - (hard K sound) marshy land also "the curracks".
