The Communion Silver came to Durrow Church from St. Mary's Church, Kilkenny, to which it was given by Mary II, wife of William of Orange. Canon Wells told me that a great many churches were built in the reign of William + Mary, + to any church dedicaed to St. Mary. Built then, Queen Mary gave the Communion silver, + that St. Mary's Church gave their Communion Service to Durrow Church.
