  1. The Robber's Den is situated at a place called the cave in the Slieve Bloom mountains,about five miles from Clonaslee. At the place where this Den is, there is a round ring of stones and an opening in the centre. There is a cave underneath with stone stairs leading down to it. This cave or Den was used by a gang of robbers many years ago as a place of hiding. After going about the country stealing and robbing, they retreated back to this Den with their loot.
