  1. There is a field in the town land of Ballinabarna, Athy. On the south-east of the field about one hundred yards from the bye road there was a wood cross. The cross was put there because the field was cursed and the crops would not grow. It was put there by a Priest. The cross rotted away and there is a gap where the cross was. Ever since the cross was put up the crops grow all right.
