  1. Fair day is held in Rathangan on the third Monday of each month.
    Long ago this fair was largely attended by men from all over the county Kildare. Now-a-days this is not so, as only a few farmers from the district around Rathangan bring in their stock for sale at this fair. On this day cattle, sheep, (pigh) pigs and bonhams are all sold on the same day.
    There is not a seperate fair for each of these animals, all the business is transacted on the same day. The fair is held in the Main Street of Rathangan and as is usual in some fairs of Ireland toll is not collected by
