  1. On Hallowe'en, barn bracks are made and apples and nuts are eaten.
    We play snap apple and we roast nuts.
    On May Day people decorated a May bush and hang it over the door to keep away the fairies and to prevent them from taking the butter during churning.
    Easter Water is sprinkled on the crops on May Eve in order to have a plentiful harvest.
    On St. Martin's Day a cock is killed and eaten in order to spill blood in honour of St. Martin.
