    The next day he went to the priest and he told him all that had happened.
    The priest told him to go as he promised and to bring a bottle of holy water with him and to make a ring with the holy water and stand in it.
    He was there before the time appointed and he made the ring with the holy water and stood inside it. In a short time he heard the roaring and chains rattling. When the Devil came to the ring the young man made ge could get no further.
    He said to the fellow its well for yourself what you done.
    I should have taken you tonight..
    The young man got such a fright that he never played cards afterwards.
